The Australian government has announced that the first home buyers grant has been doubled from $7,000 to $14,000 and it has been tripled to $21,000 for newly built homes. As part of a $10.4 billion package which is designed to stimulate the Australian economy, the announcement has been welcomed by the housing industry.
